Individual prep
- As a warm up to your blog (last one before Spring Break!), skim the pdf “Cool products” in the BB folder on Product Design; what appeals to you (and what does not)? And why? Try to think specifically about design principles that you might extract (just spend 30 minutes skimming and reflecting – this won’t go in your blog)
- Now, think about what constitutes great design in your group’s chosen product/service category. Submit a blog in which you identify and describe an example of great design within your product/service category. This could be an example from your company, or from a competitor. What does “state of the art” design in your category look and feel like, and what design principles can you extract/identify? If your category is a service, think about customer “touch points” like spaces, web or app interactions, customer service, etc.
Group project
- You should be working on a complete draft of the LP Analysis at this point, with time in your workplan to review and revise the compiled document as a group (don’t just merge sections written by each of you individually without assessing the whole…)
