Living Principles
- By now, you should be done with the front end of the LP Analysis (describing 4Cs and 4Ps) and should have begun the research needed to conduct the actual LP assessment. Leave time in your schedule to review & revise each others’ work!
OPTIONAL BLOG GRADE BOOSTER – due Sunday 24th, 8 PM (you need your sleep!)
- as a one time offer, here is a blog assignment that you may use to replace your lowest blog grade at the end of the semester…
- I am considering writing a book about Consumer Wisdom – focused on your age cohort; post a blog addressing the following questions – don’t hold back; I am not looking for approval or support, per se, but honest feedback/ideas on the following (you don’t need to answer every specific question below, but please address each of the three big questions generally):
- MARKET POTENTIAL? Is there a potential market for a book on Wise Consumption targeting 20-30 year olds? Does the topic have the potential to be a book on its own? Could it be interesting enough and valuable enough to spend money on? Or is the market too saturated with similar books about finance, minimalism, etc.? Or maybe it’s not enough for a book on its own, but could be a section of a book with a broader theme (and what might that broader theme be)?
- BOOK ATTRIBUTES? Next, if I did write a book about Consumer Wisdom, what features/attributes might you suggest? How much should it get into the psychology and academic background (explanation) vs. focusing on practical guidance/tips (prescription)? Should I share some of the specific cases that were in the academic article to illustrate the principles? Should it be in a workbook format (e.g., “10 weeks to Consumer Wisdom,” with worksheets for each week), or instead more of a guide that different people apply/implement in different ways? How many pages? Lots of visuals, or is that too gimmicky? What attributes of similar “self improvement” books have you encountered that are really appealing (or really annoying)?
- NAME? What should I call it? Consumer Wisdom? Does that resonate? If not, what would you call this concept, now that you are very familiar with it?
Consider attending upcoming Tribe Innovation session (this may help with the next phase of our project…)
